I have an old-fashioned barometer which does not work but may be worth repairing. Does it have any value? - barometer repair

The barometer is a wall hanging, violin-shaped, rather long and has a Fahrenheit thermometer or other functions, although I am not sure what they are. No other manufacturer brand of any kind, if someone has scribbled on the inside with a pencil, '14 Gulay (probably July), 1858 - P Toroni. This was inherited from one parent to Jersey in the Channel Islands.
